New Lanark Experience – Experience Only (+ donation pricing)

New Lanark World Heritage Site welcomes thousands of visitors each year – by adding a donation to your ticket price you can help preserve the heritage of New Lanark for generations to come. UK taxpayers can also claim Giftaid – which adds on an extra 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you.

By supporting us with your donation, you will enable to us to ensure the story of New Lanark can be continued through our exciting exhibitions, programmes, facilities and events. New Lanark is not just a World Heritage Site, it is a social and education resource that is used for learning by various groups of all ages, from pre-school to adult. It is important to us to ensure that over 200 years of legacy remains intact, and that it is available for everyone of all ages for years to come.

If you choose to GiftAid, you will receive free entry to our UNESCO world heritage site for 12 months.

Car Park Information & Prices

In order to support the Trust to achieve its charitable goals and maintain our grounds and historic buildings, donations are essential. Money we receive for you parking at New Lanark is a key contributor and we are very grateful for your contribution. Please note that the car park is managed by a third-party company and not by New Lanark.

Car Park Pricing: 

  • Cars: £3 for 24 hours

  • Motorhomes/Campervans £5 for 24 hours

  • Coaches/Buses: FREE

Important:
  • Best method of payment: We strongly recommend paying by cash at the on-site parking machine to avoid any issues.

  • Card and app payments (e.g., RingGo) may be unreliable on site due to limited mobile signal.

If you experience issues paying while at New Lanark, you can still pay later via the RingGo app or by phone. You have up to 48 hours after your visit to make the payment. For more information on our parking please click here.

If you believe you have received a parking charge in error, please follow the formal appeals process detailed on the notice, or contact the car park operator directly at: solutions@bransbywilson.co.uk or call 01904 672 600.

Coach Parking and Group Visitor Instructions:

Coaches transporting group visitors should follow the main road down into the village to access the village square, where passengers can disembark. The road is steep but navigable, with a sufficient turning circle at the square. Drivers must exercise extreme caution when reversing in the village. After passengers disembark, the coach must proceed to the main visitor car park. At the end of the visit, the coach may return to the village square to pick up the group.

Accessibility:

New Lanark Visitor Attraction offers a shuttle bus from the main visitor attraction car park to the entrance operates from 10:00 AM to 4:15 PM, Friday through Monday.
