Step into the noisier, messier side of New Lanark with the Bug Man on a tour kids will love.

This is not your usual history tour. It is a chance to discover what life was really like in the busy cotton mills, where work was tough, accidents happened, and bugs were part of everyday life.
Perfect for curious kids with strong stomachs and big imaginations.

What you will discover

  • The creepy‑crawlies that shared workers’ homes
  • The reality of Victorian hygiene (it wasn’t great…)
  • The bumps, bruises and dangers of mill work
  • The role of bobbins and how the mills kept spinning
It is packed with stories, surprises and just enough gruesome detail to keep children fully engaged.
