Weaving Workshop at New Lanark!

Discover the timeless craft of hand weaving at New Lanark World Heritage Site.

Join us for an evening of creativity in the heart of New Lanark’s textile history with resident weaver Abigail! You’ll learn about the history of weaving at New Lanark, explore traditional weaving techniques and have a shot of our newly restored weaving loom – all in the company of fellow friendly crafters. You’ll even enjoy a cup of tea and slice of cake while you work!

Where: Textile Floor Mill 3
Price: £35.00 per person

All materials will be provided. We encourage participants to bring along any small trinkets or special pieces of fabric that you may want to add to your weaving creation to make it even more special to you. Otherwise, all you need is your creativity!

Whether you’re a beginner or have tried your hand at weaving in the past, this workshop offers a chance to connect with New Lanark’s rich textile history, learn a new skill and meet new people!
