New Lanark Dinosaur Weekend
Step into a prehistoric day out at New Lanark this summer.
Join us on Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July for Dinosaur Weekend, marking the launch of the Jurassic Lanark Explorer Trail, as dinosaurs are set to ascend on New Lanark from 4th July- 9th August. It is the perfect place to begin your dinosaur adventure, with plenty to see and do across the site.
Head to the Visitor Centre to collect your trail map before donning your dancing shoes for a lively Dino Disco, cheer on your favourite in the Dinosaur Duck Race along the historic mill lade, and enjoy craft activities and natural history fossil digging in the Robert Owen School, giving younger visitors plenty to enjoy as they explore. Once you’ve completed your trail map – be sure to stop by the Mill Shop to collect your prize!
Take your time discovering the village, spotting dinosaurs along the way, and enjoying the surroundings. With plenty of space to explore, places to eat, and activities for all ages, it is an easy and enjoyable family day out.
