Get ready for a spook-tacular family weekend at New Lanark! Join us for Halloween fun throughout the village with fancy dress, crafts, prizes and frightfully good family activities.
Whether you’re exploring the historic village, taking a ride on Annie McLeod, or completing your Halloween Passport, there’s plenty of seasonal fun for little monsters and grown-ups alike.
Halloween Passport Trail
Children can collect their Halloween Passport and complete spooky activities around the site. Once completed, hand it in for a special Halloween treat.
Fancy Dress Competition
We’d love to see your best witches, wizards, ghosts, pumpkins and creepy creatures!
Come dressed in your Halloween costume for the chance to win a Best Dressed Prize.
Halloween Crafts
Get creative with our Halloween craft activities, available in the Mill Café or Gallery Room. Drop in throughout the day and make your own spooky masterpiece to take home.
Halloween Duck Race
Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 1pm
Don’t miss our special Halloween Duck Race, where hundreds of spooky ducks will race along the River Clyde. It’s great fun for all ages and there may even be prizes for the winning ducks. Ducks can be purchased from the Mill Shop.
Halloween Annie McLeod Experience
For children who simply want to enjoy a spooky ride, we will be offering Halloween Annie McLeod Experience – Only Tickets.
Experience the Annie McLeod Ride transformed for Halloween with seasonal sights, sounds and surprises, perfect for young visitors looking for a little Halloween magic. Tickets can be purchased from our Visitor Centre reception.
Make a Day of It
Why not enjoy lunch in the Mill Café while you’re here? With freshly prepared sandwiches, soups, light lunches, cakes and hot drinks, it’s the perfect place to warm up between activities.
