The Clyde Valley Woodlands National Nature Reserve is managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust, this area offers stunning waterfalls, scenic walks, and rich biodiversity. SCOTTISH WILDLIFE TRUST

Explore the wonders of wildlife at New Lanark UNESCO World Heritage Site
Located at the historic New Lanark UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Scottish Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre offers interactive exhibits with live badger camera footage and wildlife games. Discover over 100 bird species, including dippers, ravens, and kingfishers, plus Daubenton’s bats, otters, and badgers. Entry is free for Scottish Wildlife Trust members, with a suggested £3 donation for non-members. Join evening badger watches or year-round wildlife events to experience the reserve’s vibrant ecosystem.

Discover the Falls of Clyde’s stunning waterfalls within the Clyde Valley Woodlands National Nature Reserve.
Explore the Falls of Clyde on a 3-mile self-guided trail starting at New Lanark. Follow the scenic river boardwalk to explore four stunning linns: Dundaff Linn (10-foot drop), visible from the village; the majestic Corra Linn (84-foot drop), a 20-30 minute walk further; and Bonnington Linn (30-foot drop), another 20-30 minutes beyond. Stonebyres Linn, located several miles downstream, lies outside the main reserve trail but can be visited separately for those eager to extend their adventure

Explore the 1.2km Power Trail, blending history and renewable energy within the Falls of Clyde Reserve. Starting at New Lanark, this trail passes Dundaff Linn, Bonnington Power Station, and ends at the majestic Corra Linn. Discover 12 interpretation panels on heritage, environment, and hydropower, created through the Vision for Lanark initiative with partners like Drax and the Scottish Wildlife Trust. Perfect for families, history buffs, and nature lovers alike.
