How to Book Your Group Visit

Planning your group visit to New Lanark has never been simpler! Our user-friendly online form allows you to submit all group details in one go, eliminating the need for back-and-forth emails. Just complete the form, and we’ll confirm availability within 24-hours, Monday-Friday, 9AM – 5PM. For more information, see below for a simple breakdown of our booking process.

Receive Confirmation

If your chosen date is available, you will receive a confirmation email with a unique reference number to present on arrival, sent within 24 hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM).

If there is no availability, our Bookings Office will contact you to discuss alternatives.

Finalise Details
If you have added catering to your group booking, you must confirm your final numbers and make payment 7 days prior to arrival (call 01555 661345); for catering invoices, notify 14 days in advance, with payment due within 7 days of receipt of invoice.
Make Your Payment
All group visits must be paid in full before or on arrival, except for contracted travel trade/FIT clients and UK schools. For more information, please see our Terms & Conditions.

Car Park Information & Prices

In order to support the Trust to achieve its charitable goals and maintain our grounds and historic buildings, donations are essential. Money we receive for you parking at New Lanark is a key contributor and we are very grateful for your contribution. Please note that the car park is managed by a third-party company and not by New Lanark.

Car Park Pricing: 

  • Cars: £3 for 24 hours

  • Motorhomes/Campervans £5 for 24 hours

  • Coaches/Buses: FREE

Important:
  • Best method of payment: We strongly recommend paying by cash at the on-site parking machine to avoid any issues.

  • Card and app payments (e.g., RingGo) may be unreliable on site due to limited mobile signal.

If you experience issues paying while at New Lanark, you can still pay later via the RingGo app or by phone. You have up to 48 hours after your visit to make the payment. For more information on our parking please click here.

If you believe you have received a parking charge in error, please follow the formal appeals process detailed on the notice, or contact the car park operator directly at: solutions@bransbywilson.co.uk or call 01904 672 600.

Coach Parking and Group Visitor Instructions:

Coaches transporting group visitors should follow the main road down into the village to access the village square, where passengers can disembark. The road is steep but navigable, with a sufficient turning circle at the square. Drivers must exercise extreme caution when reversing in the village. After passengers disembark, the coach must proceed to the main visitor car park. At the end of the visit, the coach may return to the village square to pick up the group.

Accessibility:

New Lanark Visitor Attraction offers a shuttle bus from the main visitor attraction car park to the entrance operates from 10:00 AM to 4:15 PM, Friday through Monday.

Group Booking Terms & Conditions

Please see below for a summary of our group booking terms & conditions:

Minimum Numbers & Surcharge

  • Minimum for group rates: 20 people.
  • Groups under 20: standard rates apply.
  • Guided tours for under 20: £50 surcharge applies.

Payment

  • Pay in full before or on arrival via cash/card at Visitor Attraction or card by phone (01555 661345).
  • If paying on arrival, group numbers can be changed without penalty.

Advanced Payments

  • Invoices must be paid by arrival; otherwise, pay on arrival. Group numbers cannot be changed once invoice issued.
  • If paid by card in full before arrival, group numbers cannot be changed.
  • Refunds will not be issued for advanced payments, so please be certain of your group numbers before arrival.

Post-visit Invoicing

  • Invoicing after arrival is only available to contracted travel trade, FIT clients, and UK schools which are invoiced on the day of arrival and must pay within 30 days.

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your visit at any time, but please provide us with 7 days’ notice by contacting trust@newlanark.org or 01555 661345.
  • Catering payments are non-refundable, even if visit is cancelled.

Catering

  • Confirm final numbers and pay 7 days prior (01555 661345).
  • Catering invoices: notify 14 days in advance; pay within 7 days of receipt, non-refundable.

Discounts & Free Tickets

  • One free place for tour leader and coach driver per group.
  • 25% discount on food/drink at Mill Café for tour leader and driver.
