Mini Mill Explorers! From digging up fossils, to weaving wonders, we're stepping back in time this Easter Break!

On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays this Easter, we’re running fun sessions for the whole family to get involved in. Each session is included in a standard Visitor Centre admissions ticket – all you need to do is show up on the day!

Tuesdays (11am-12pm or 2pm-3pm) – Natural History Lesson in the Historic Classroom
Join in on a Natural History lesson with New Lanark’s teacher based on a real lesson from 1823! Discover the natural kingdoms of the natural world, dig for fossils and take part in some clay crafts!
Wednesdays (11am -12pm or 2pm-3pm) – Toys from the Past
Join in for a game of “with New Lanark’s nursery teacher. Dress up and play with traditional toys from 200 years ago – like yoyos, quiots and gird and cleeks!
Thursdays (11am – 12pm or 2pm-3pm) – Weaving Sessions
Join in for a weaving lesson with a New Lanark millworker! Learn all about traditional heritage crafts and weave a small piece of the past on New Lanark’s factory floor.
Mini Mill Explorers sessions are welcome to all, however activities are recommended for ages 6 +. Please note, each session is capped at 20 participants.

If you’re looking for something for the wee ones this Easter, why not come along to our Sensory Story sessions every Friday (10th and 17th of April). Our sensory stories are a fun way for the little ones to engage with New Lanark’s past. Each session includes a sensory story and crafting session. These sessions are aimed at 1-6 years.
