Jurassic Lanark
This summer, dinosaurs arrive at New Lanark as part of the Jurassic Lanark Explorer Trail.
From 4 July to 9 August, follow the Jurassic Lanark Explorer Trail as it winds its way through the village. Keep your eyes peeled for dinosaurs hiding across the site and enjoy discovering each stop along the way.
Pick up your trail map when you arrive, then set off at your own pace to explore, discover and have fun together.
It’s a free, family‑friendly day out, with plenty to keep younger visitors engaged as you follow the trail.
Collect your map from the Visitor Attraction reception. Once you’ve completed the trail, head to the Mill Shop to pick up your prize.
Jurassic Lanark is part of the New for 2026 Explorer Trail, alongside our friends at Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve and Visitor Centre, CCI at Langloch Farm, and Events at Lanark Agricultural Centre. Thank you to Discover Lanark for bringing it all together.
