'Doors Open Days' Tours at New Lanark
Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September 2016
The 'doors are open' on production at New Lanark World Heritage Site for our ‘Doors Open Days’ weekend. Join our guides for a series of free, informative tours to discover our enterprising production at New Lanark, and find out more about our Double Row Restoration Project.
Tour price: Free
There will be a range of free activities available on the day for children including a Treasure Trail and Drop-In crafts. On Saturday 10th September from 1-3pm the Clyde and Avon Valley Partnership are celebrating its 2nd Birthday with activities at Clearburn Natural Play & Picnic Area.
These tours are part of the 'Doors Open Days' campaign which is co-ordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust.
The tours do not include entry to the New Lanark Visitor Centre. The tours are suitable for adults only due to the areas the tours will access. Due to the building restoration works currently being carried out on Double Row, there will be no access available to the 'Museum Stair' in 2016's event. There will also be no other access available to buildings which are not usually open to the public or included in the bookable tours. There will be NO tours of the Ice Cream Factory available in 2016.
