See the world in LEGO® Bricks as the iconic Brick City exhibition comes to New Lanark World Heritage Site from 28th June – 10th September 2017. A fun day out for all ages!

Brick City is a celebration of some of the world's favourite buildings and urban icons including the Colosseum in Rome, St Pancras Station in London and Arc De Triomphe in Paris recreated solely using LEGO Bricks. Brick City has been enjoyed by tens of thousands of visitors across the UK and now fans of LEGO young and old will have the chance to catch this must-see exhibition at New Lanark during the summer of 2017.
The exhibition will include a display of over 60 fantastic models made from an estimated half-a-million LEGO Bricks. As part of the Brick City Exhibition, there will be self-led play sessions in the exhibition space included in the price of the ticket. These are twenty minute sessions (with an additional ten minutes for tidying). At the six tables, there will be laminated sheets with designs to build on the themes of: buildings; plants and animals. With three levels of difficulty, there will be something for the absolute beginner to more experienced Lego builder. To allow everyone to enjoy the experience the LEGO in the Self-Led Play Area will not be available to take home.

Please note, online bookings close at 12 Midnight the night before. Tickets cannot be booked online on the day of your intended visit. Subject to availability, tickets will be available for purchase at the event reception. There is a limited capacity per day so please check the website in advance of your visit to confirm availability of tickets.

Note when booking tickets: you will be shown a calendar of available dates to book your exhibition visit. In the calendar BLUE dates are unavailable, WHITE are available and YELLOW is the date you are currently selecting to book.
• The exhibition will be hosted within the School for Children building at New Lanark.
Parking, Shuttle Bus & Access
• Visitor Parking is in the main Visitor Car Park at the top of the hill (straight ahead once turning left at the small roundabout)
• A free Shuttle Bus for visitors will be running on WEEKENDS ONLY from 1st July - 13th August from 11am-5.15pm daily. The shuttle bus will run approx every 15 minutes from the Visit Car Park into the Village Square.
• Limited Blue Badge parking will be available at the Institute for the Formation of Character building and behind the School for Children (accessed via road behind the Hotel)
• There will be no parking available outside the School for Children building as the Mill Lade will be pedestrianised for visitors from 25th June - 10th September.

These quiet and sensory friendly morning sessions will not be open to the general public (however extended families of children with autism are most welcome to join as part of a group), making them more suitable for visitors with autism and additional support requirements. There is a very limited capacity for these sessions so tickets MUST be booked in advance - as soon as possible to guarantee your space.

All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Using the latest LEGO robotics technology to build and program amazing creatures that can move using motors, gears and wheels. Participants will learn how to program sensors to make the robot react to its surroundings. Using laptops connected to the LEGO kits they will program robot birds to chirp, crocodiles to snap and plane engines to rev! This workshop is great fun and ideal for nurturing and enhancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths skills.

Robotics Workshop tickets do not include entry to the Brick City exhibition - these tickets must be purchased as standard using the link at the top of the page.
Take the Challenge! Join us at New Lanark for our 45 minute facilitated challenge workshops. These challenges will take place two days a week throughout the Summer holidays.There will be a new theme each week and sessions will take place in the River Room in the Visitors Centre Reception. There are twenty places available for each session and tickets will cost £3.00 per person. This is a chance to build with LEGO, facilitated by New Lanark’s friendly staff and is the perfect addition to a visit to the Brick City.

Challenge Workshop tickets do not include entry to the Brick City exhibition - these tickets must be purchased as standard using the link at the top of the page.
During Brick City, New Lanark will be offering ten sessions for children aged 3 and under in the Interactive Gallery at Robert Owen’s School. These story times with singing and Duplo modelling will take place every Tuesday and Thursday between 4th July and 3rd August. The sessions will start at 10.00 and end at 10.30. There are twelve child places available for each session. The price of £6.00 includes a two hour play in the Interactive Gallery. For each workshop, you can build a simple model with your child that fits in with the theme of the stories and songs.
Duration: 30 minutes
Children aged 4-7 are applicable to pay for standard entry to the Interactive Gallery on arrival which is £3.25 per child or £2.00 with a Visitor Attraction ticket.
Children aged 8-15 are above the recommended age for the entry to the Interactive Gallery and the DUPLO sessions.
All children must be accompanied by an adult/carer at all times. These sessions are age appropriate from 0-3 years.
